Hey Lovers!
I am so excited to share another beautiful wedding with you all. Sabrina and Erik modeled for me earlier this year when I put out a call for a couple to practice photography on. It was quite possibly the coldest day of this past winter, but they held out in the weather and posed like champs! Needless to say, we took some amazing engagement photos and totally clicked in the process! I had the honor of photographing their wedding day this past July. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding at The Thayer Hotel. Keep scrolling to read about this beautiful couple’s wedding journey, from start, to first kiss as husband and wife. Thanks for stopping by!
We met on a dating app called Bumble.
Sabrina: I knew I wanted to marry him because he treats me like a queen and showed me what true love is. No one has ever done that before.
Erik: I couldn’t see myself spending the rest of my life with anyone else. She makes me the happiest I’ve ever felt.
Sabrina: He proposed at home! He used rose petals to make a big heart on the bedroom floor, played the song True Companion by Marc Cohn and candles all around. I walked in from getting pizza with the kids and the trail of rose petals went from the front door to our bedroom. When I came in, he was on bended knee inside of the heart. He said, “I love you with all my heart. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you be my wife?” And I said, “of course!”
Erik: the first look, cutting the cake and seeing her in her dress.
Sabrina: I woke up at 4AM that morning and went down to the ceremony site. There were still flower petals on the floor from the wedding the night before. I sat in the darkness as the staff cleaned up the site. I waited for the sun to come up. As I waited I prayed and thanked God for Erik, this day in which I was marrying him and for our amazing relationship. That was a special moment for me. But, definitely the first look, our first and last dance and hearing his vows. They completely blew me away!!
Erik: enjoy every moment of planning because the wedding goes so fast.
Sabrina: hire a photographer!! We weren’t going to and thank God Crystal came into our lives. But a photographer truly catches all the little things you miss throughout the day. Pictures last a lifetime.
